- ID#368 DN0443 (Employee Email Address) Added L under Error 120 no embedded spaces and 121 no leading spaces.
- ID#370 DN0443 (Employee Email Address) New Population Restriction: DN0443-111 must be a valid e-mail that has an embedded at sign.
- ID#366 New Population Restriction for Error 111 will be added to all DN's identified as alpha/numeric.

A change to the processing of 02s was made on 3/16/2023 and announced at the 3/21/2023 eClaims Trading Partner Webinar. The NYS 02 reference Section 2b IIIA (Acceptance Method-Implementing Implied/Usable DNs/Non-Variable Segments) posted on the eClaims NY Requirement Tables - EDI R3.1 tables has been updated to reflect these changes.
Here is a summary of the changes:
- FTP filers brought to our attention that we were rejecting Change 02 transactions improperly.
- The IAIABC R3.1 Assumptions indicate that any data element that is marked as “X” or “NA” can be populated, if desired, but cannot be edited by the Jurisdiction. Since we are not editing, we are ignoring the data populated in the “X” and “NA” fields. If there was no MTC accepted where that data element had a severity ranking other than “X” or “NA” we were rejecting Change 02 transaction. Also, we were only looking at the accepted FROI MTCs if the transaction was a FROI-02 or accepted SROI MTCs if the transaction was a SROI-02.
- Modifications to the Change 02 processing was implemented on 3/16/2023 to recognize data for both FROI and SROI for the latest accepted value. We are now looking at both FROI and SROI MTCs where the data element had a severity ranking other than “X” or “NA”.
- There are 11 data elements that we will accept when an 02 is received for any of those data elements even if the only accepted MTC had a severity ranking of “X” or “NA”.
