In accordance with the New York State Workers' Compensation Board (Board) resolution adopted on February 20, 1990, the Board publishes the mileage rate for reimbursement to injured workers for travel by automobile on or after January 1st of each year. We have just received notification that the 2026 rate has been revised.

The new rate for personal vehicle mileage on or after July 1, 2026, is 76 cents per mile.

In those instances where injured workers are entitled to reimbursement for travel expenses, insurers will reimburse injured workers for travel in accordance with this rate.
