Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(5), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised his authority to revoke Dr. Roberto E. Rivera's authorization to treat injured workers within the New York State workers' compensation system effective October 7, 2013. Dr. Rivera's last known business address is 82 LaSalle Drive, Yonkers, NY 10710.

The revocation is based upon Consent Order (BPMC No. 13-268), issued by the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct (BPMC), effective August 20, 2013.

Dr. Rivera was charged with having his license temporarily suspended by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners pending resolution of criminal charges following his arrest on February 17, 2012, for possessing bomb making chemicals and assault rifles. Pursuant to New York State Public Health Law Section 230(12)(b), he may not practice medicine in New York State or in any other jurisdiction where your practice is predicated on holding a valid New York State medical license.

Dr. Rivera is prohibited from rendering treatment and care to injured workers. Reports submitted by Dr. Rivera for services rendered prior to October 7, 2013, are valid, but are invalid for any services rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Rivera for services rendered prior to October 7, 2013 should not be denied due to the revocation of his authorization.
