Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(5), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised his authority to revoke Dr. James Corasanti's authorization to treat injured workers within the New York State workers' compensation system effective July 30, 2013. Dr. Corasanti's last known business address is 260 Redtail Road, Suite 2, Orchard Park, New York 14127.

The revocation is based upon Consent Order (BPMC No. 12-154), issued by the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct (BPMC), effective August 13, 2012. In that Consent Agreement and Order, Dr. Corasanti admitted to committing of an act constituting a crime under New York state law, thus yielding a penalty under N.Y Pub. Vehicle and Traffic law section 1192-3, a misdemeanor.

The professional misconduct yielded the following penalty: censure and reprimand, five (5) years of probation, subject to terms set forth in the Order; and a $10,000 fine.

Dr. Corasanti had his authorization to treat injured workers temporarily suspended by the Board on January 7, 2013.

Dr. Corasanti is prohibited from rendering treatment and care to injured workers. Reports submitted by Dr. Corasanti for services rendered prior to January 7, 2013, are valid, but are invalid for any services rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Corasanti for services rendered prior to January 7, 2013, should not be denied due to the temporary suspension and subsequent revocation of his authorization.

Any questions regarding the authorized lists should be referred to the Medical Director's Office at 1 (800) 781-2362.
