Payer Compliance – New Measures for Second Phase

To help injured workers receive timely benefits, the NYS Workers’ Compensation Board has been overseeing the Payer Compliance Project. Now entering its second phase, the Payer Compliance Project was created to improve the performance of the payer community through education about the importance of timely submission of filings and the penalties that can result for late filings. For this next phase, the Board has begun monitoring the timeliness of the Subsequent Report of Injury Suspension filings (SROI-Sx) that is required when indemnity payment(s) made to injured workers have been suspended. For a 6-month, educational/review period, the Board will be issuing monthly reports showing payers what was late, and if the Board was assessing penalties, what they would be.

For a detailed look at how the Board will be monitoring payers in and what you need to do to stay compliant, please join us for a live presentation on one of the available session dates. Each webinar is one hour long and there will be time for questions at the end. Registration is required.

    • Alternatively, if these emails are already in your spam/junk folder, you can go to the email from messenger@webex.com within your spam/junk folder and make these changes based on your email client.

    • To add a WebEx meeting to your calendar, select the link at the bottom of your confirmation email following “To add this meeting to your calendar program (for example Microsoft Outlook), click this link” to download and import the iCalendar file (.ics) to your calendar.
  • Can I use the link in the confirmation email to attend multiple webinar dates?
