If the java plug-in used by eCase has NOT been installed on your PC then you will need to install it. Once the java plug-in is installed, it will be used each time you access eCase. It does not need to be installed each and every time you access eCase. Of course, if you run eCase from a different computer than the one with the installed plug-in, you will also need to install the plug-in on the different computer.

Downloading the Java Plug-in

1. Go to www.java.com
2. Select the "Free Java Download" button
3. Select the "Agree and Start Free Java Download" button.
4. Save the file to the desktop or a folder where you will be able to find it.
5. Select the file ending with .exe that just downloaded and choose "Run" to finish intalling the Java Plug-in.
