How do I locate a particular case?
If you have just loaded the system:
- The Case Info Tab Page is on your screen, with the insertion point in the Case ID field.
- Type the Case ID number of the case you wish to view in the case ID field
- Click on the Retrieve Button

- The case information for that case will display on the screen.
If you are examining one case and want to switch cases:
- Hold down the left mouse button while you drag over the number in the Case ID field. Make sure to select the entire number.
- Type the number for the new case you want to examine. As you type, it will replace the existing number.
- When you have finished typing the new case number, click the Retrieve
button
. - The case information for that case will display on the screen.
If you are using the Document Viewer to examine a document for one case and want to switch cases:
- Click the Exit Viewer button
in the Document Viewer. That panel will close. - In the Case Folder window, hold down the left mouse button while you drag over the number in the Case ID field. Make sure to select the entire number.
- Type the number for the new case you want to examine. As you type, it will replace the existing number.
- When you have finished typing the new case number, click the Retrieve
button
. - The case information for that case will display on the screen.
