Information Related To Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

3-16-2020

In response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Governor Cuomo has issued a new mandate for all non-essential New York State employees to work from home for two weeks, starting Tuesday, March 17.

Essential staff must report to work

Your bureau head will contact you by close of business today if you are essential and must report to the office. Essential staff who do not report to work must charge their accruals, unless a governmental health authority issues a mandatory or precautionary quarantine or order of isolation.

At this time, all non-essential employees shall work from home, to the extent practicable. Where non-essential employees can be assigned to perform critical work outside of their normal state workplace, this is permitted. Non-essential employees who are not able to work from home will not have to charge their accruals. Anyone designated non-essential will be contacted if there is a change in status, but please also check the website and the employee hotline for updates.

All employees: provide contact information to your supervisor

Please make sure your immediate supervisor has your home contact information (email and phone).

Watch for more information

The Board will share any updates for these offices and others via the employee hotline, email and our website please watch for more information and route any questions through your supervisor. For any other questions, please contact Human Resources at (518) 474-2685.

While this message is being distributed across several channels to reach Board staff at home, we appreciate your assistance in sharing this information with any colleagues with whom you have contact. Thank you.
