Dr. Griffing's medical license has been indefinitely suspended for at least nine months and until a modification order staying the suspension is issued by the New York State Board for Professional Medical Conduct.
Pursuant to Workers' Compensation Law Section 13-d(5), the Chair of the New York State Workers' Compensation Board has exercised his authority to temporarily suspend the authorization of Dr. Griffing effective July 31, 2010, the remainder of which suspension shall run concurrently with the license suspension imposed by the BPMC. No current business address is available for Dr. Griffing.
Dr. Griffing is indefinitely prohibited from rendering medical treatment and care to individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Griffing for treatment rendered prior to July 9, 2010, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Griffing regarding treatment he rendered prior to July 9, 2010, should not be denied due to the suspension of his medical license or the suspension of his authorization to treat workers' compensation claimants.
