Please be advised that, effective January 20, 2010, a Hearing Committee of the New York State Department of Health, State Board for Professional Medical Conduct, issued a Determination and Order (BPMC No. 10-08), by which the medical license of Nessim Roumi, M.D., was suspended for 6 months. By said Determination and Order (BPMC No. 10-08), the Hearing Committee sustained the charges against Dr. Roumi of negligence on more than one occasion, incompetence on more than one occasion, and failure to maintain accurate patient records. No current business address is available for Dr. Roumi.

As of the effective date of January 20, 2010, through July 19, 2010, Dr. Roumi is precluded from rendering medical treatment and care to individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Roumi for treatment or examinations rendered prior to January 20, 2010, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment or examinations rendered on or after that date through July 19, 2010. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Roumi regarding treatment or examinations he rendered prior to January 20, 2010, and after July 19, 2010, should not be denied due to the six-month suspension of his license to practice medicine.
