Please be advised that, effective December 16, 2009, by Determination and Order (BPMC No. 09-213), a Hearing Committee of the New York State Department of Health's Board for Professional Medical Conduct sustained the charge finding Isaac Barr, M.D., guilty of having been convicted in the Untied States District Court, Eastern District of New York, of Health Care Fraud.

Effective January 7, 2010, Isaac Barr, M.D., voluntarily resigned his authorization to treat individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Dr. Barr's business address is 1048 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11230.

Dr. Barr is prohibited from rendering medical treatment and other care to individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Barr for treatment rendered prior to January 7, 2010, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment rendered on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Barr regarding treatment he rendered prior to January 7, 2010, should not be denied due to the resignation of his authorization.
