Please be advised that, effective February 28, 2007, the license to practice medicine of Robert E. Sterling, M.D., expired. Subsequently, by Determination and Order (BPMC No. 09-163), effective September 8, 2009, a Hearing Committee of the New York State Department of Health, Board for Professional Medical Conduct, found Dr. Sterling guilty of having been disciplined by the Connecticut Department of Public Health, effective August 19, 2008. No business address is available for Dr. Sterling.

Effective February 28, 2007, Dr. Sterling is prohibited from rendering medical or other treatment and care to or conducting independent medical examinations of individuals who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses. Medical reports submitted by Dr. Sterling for treatment rendered or examinations performed prior to February 28, 2007, are valid, but are invalid for any treatment rendered or examinations performed on or after that date. Requests to cross-examine Dr. Sterling regarding treatment he rendered or examinations he performed prior to February 28, 2007, should not be denied due to the inactive status of his license to practice medicine.
