Workers’ Compensation Board

Newburgh Attorneys and Licensed Representatives

The Board is now conducting a pilot program for virtual Section 32 hearings scheduled at the Newburgh (New Windsor) hearing location. The ability to conduct virtual Section 32 hearings is expected to expedite scheduling and alleviate the need for in-person appearances in these cases.

This pilot program is for Section 32 hearings only. Virtual hearings are not otherwise available yet at the Newburgh (New Windsor) hearing location.

Parties interested in pursuing a virtual Section 32 hearing should advise the Board, in writing, at the time they submit their Section 32 paperwork to the Board for processing. Because the virtual Section 32 hearings are not physically held in the Newburgh hearing location, all parties to these hearings must agree to appear virtually. It will be the responsibility of the parties to confirm that all can appear virtually, and will do so on the scheduled hearing date.

Claimants will continue to have the ability to appear by phone, if necessary.
