As-Is Approach


During the As-Is phase of the project, the team used various inputs and activities to develop As-Is documentation for the Board and the system. By using process walk-throughs and supplementing with information gathered at staff clinics, system participant outreach sessions and through the BPR email address, the working teams were able to develop high level documentation of the current processes and the challenges faced by participants in the system. Working teams held several in person working team sessions to review the existing analysis and inputs. The teams were able to produce documentation in the areas of 1. Claims Management, 2. Compliance and Monitoring, 3. Medical Provider Management and 4. Adjudication and Appeals.
